WINTER

Winter holidays in Bad Gastein is due to the high altitude in the sign of winter sports. Athletes will enjoy well-groomed slopes of all levels, terrains with deep snow for freeride, trails of all difficulty, winter hiking routes, skialpinists, tobogganing or ice skating.

SKI TRAILS

Gastein Valley with its 205 km of slopes is part of the Ski Amade. It has a total of 760 km of excellently groomed slopes. There are 90% of these slopes with snow making. Ski pass valid for the whole area.

CROSS COUNTRY

Spectacular views can be enjoyed on the 45 kilometers of perfectly groomed trails.

ICE SKATING

You have two options: to try skating arena in Bag Hofgastein or in good winter weather Bad Gastein offers natural skating area.

SLEDGE

There are two natural toboggan run in the valley. One is in Bad Gastein (Bellevue-Alm), 2.5 km long and thanks to the lighting can be used in the evening and the second is two kilometers long in Dorfgastein (Strohlehenalm).

SNOWSHOES

Walking on snowshoes does not require any special skills. It is possible to visit the center of Hohe Tauern National Park by accompanied by the administrator of the national park or try a different routes from Dorfgastein to the middle station of gondola on the mountain Fulseck. You will enjoy magnificent views of the valley there.
